It reminds me of the pre-COVID BBC mockumentary "Carnage", where a super swine flu spreads to birds and humans, killing tens of thousands, ending intensive farming.
They grossly underestimated what it'd take, obvs.
The US is actively developing vaccines, so when human transmission starts, WE'LL mostly be okay. Rest of the world?! Not so much.
