'90s electronic production just hits different, and it's not a digital vs analog thing (plenty of great-sounding albums from that period were recorded digitally). instead, producers made broad use of samples for a more varied textural palette, a practice that was exiled to the fringes by bullshit lawsuits pushed by suits who've never produced anything of value in their miserable lives.
