Likely the plan was to absorb the covid spending with raised interest rates over past 4 years, then grow out of debt by reducing interest rates, slashing the budget, removing regulations and fixing the food-supply/health-epidemic. The stated plan is not to pay off the debt, it's to grow the economy and increase the money supply through private debt such the national debt becomes minuscule. The only way to get out of the way of the coming inflation is the bitcoin liferaft
