The text does appear to say that a public claim of faith and the accolades one gets because of it will be the only thing one gains. It is the person who does things in secret, so to do good for good's own sake that is doing the right thing according to the faith.\n\nI have a problem with the whole \"reward\" theology thing, but one issue at a time :)",
