To add to this: I had no idea the screen would plug so cleanly into the header on the speaker, I just knew it was one ESPHome supported. Just happened to line up perfect for two GPIO, 5V, and GND.

Also the crash is from npub1tuykdul2h08eaf2nwlag3vzkwc8eak530kpdv9h3zxnzzq284ftqqmyx7w (npub1tuy…yx7w) v2024.10. I rolled back to 2024.9 and it stopped crashing when the microphone was activated. Posted on their issues thing but they have an auto-LOLBYE bot (AKA stale bot), but it leaves tons without help or without frequent issues being seen.
