OK, Fediverse. For those of a certain age, I'm sure you remember McDonald's and Burger King (and Carrols!) from the days of your youth. We had a nearby Burger King that recorded your order on a plastic/laminated sheet with a grease pencil coloring in dots (like some computerized exams of the time). They fed the sheet in the register. I found it so nifty back then. I can't find a single mention of anything resembling it online. Anyone else remember this? I'm thinking 1977 or so. #retroComputing
