I wonder if we are approaching a new era of curation, entirely because of how the credibility of printed or digital pictures has eroded over time with editing, Photoshop, genAI, etc.
It makes me wonder if it will make us return to only valuing the word of people who'd either been there, or talked to someone who had. Like, a new search for credibility. Makes me wonder if old texts will have new value.
