Excellent article in this month's PC Gamer about turning off your FPS counter and just enjoying the game. When I got my steam deck I planned to stream from my desktop for "big games", but the energy crisis made me re-assess if it's worth burning 10x the wattage for slightly sharper/smoother graphics. I've not enjoyed games any less playing at 720p or sub-60fps, and I spend a lot less time fiddling with settings.
