Stacks's proof of transfer, seems like a variation of proof of stake. It feels like doing the exact same thing as Ethereum except better integration with BTC.
If it's a thing and decentralized to a certain level, there's no need for Ethereum indeed. I only have some doubts about the BTC <-> STX exchange tokenomic model.
But I don't see that happening any time soon, while ETH could just use zk-proof to achieve the same level of integration as it.
