I like Telegram a lot. It's basically a WhatsApp clone but it's got a great client and is great for broadcasting, group chats, calls, it has a good bot that lets you use it for RSS. The encryption protocol is limited and gets criticism but the consensus seems to be that it's passable, and the client lets you revoke access from either side at any time, as far as I know this isn't possible anywhere else.
They don't advertise this too much, but you can upload almost any type of file there and they give you unlimited cloud storage. You can backup your entire computer if you want, it won't be well organized, but you can do it.
