this is what I've hinted about in the past. They hoped that switching out sleepy Joe would fix their problems, but it seems like Trumps numbers are improving, likely uncommitteds prior.
There are certain things that can happen publically that will cause panic. I think polls showing Trump at more than 50% would trigger this.
