People complain about the Central Cascades Wilderness Permits too but it’s super easy to get one. Just open the app at 7am one week prior and you can get one. I really want to do the wonderland trail someday. Maybe a long weekend next year if we have low snow. I hear you can show up at the ranger station and get permits same day.
