The get good meme began as a gatekeeping method when DS1 got popular and people were making comments about how hard it is (it isn’t). No questions about what weapons are good or if a boss had a weakness. Just dudes shitting up a thread saying this sucks and it’s too hard. Get good was their way of saying fuck off and take your complaints somewhere else.

When DS blew up newer people started treating it as a canned response to anyone with a legitimate question about mechanics. So it became gay. Imagine if people started saying go back to gab in every single thread forever. That’s basically what happened
