Overheard on the Route 44 bus in Seattle: Students enthusiastically quizzing one another on capitals of the South Pacific and the Caribbean.

I can't remember how thoroughly I memorized those in middle school for the National Geography Bee state championships. An aside: I nearly got first place in Michigan in 1993, but lost on a technicality, so I never went to nationals. [🎺cue sad trombone 🎺]
