I need to go see Dune 2. It's my duty as a long time Sci Fi fan. I haven't read the books since I was a teenager ( a VERY long time ago). I saw the first one (2021) and was suitably impressed, although I have a lot of respect for Lynch's flawed, totally wacky, 1984 version. Some of the visual images from that one remain in my head, the more recent one, not so much. I like Villenueve a lot- loved Arrival- respect him, but...he takes it all so very seriously. I hear it's remarkable film making, though, so I will risk various respiratory diseases and see it in a theater.
