Back then I used to work in a small computer repair shop, and got plenty of those with people asking me to replace the embedded system with a pirated version of Windows, but even XP ran pretty bad in it, it sucked big time.
I got mine from a disgruntled owner for very cheap, and used it as a toy for playing with Linux, but it kicked the bucket a few years later and was unsalvageable.
