First test print from a 140x60mm lemonwood block. A wood engraving of Ailsa Craig. First prints can be thin and patchy as the ink does not take well to the block, but it's good enough to show me how to finish the engraving.

Ailsa Craig is a ~60 million year old pluton of microgranite. The rock columns may resemble those of the Giant's Causeway but are not formed by cooling-induced cracking. Glacier-transported erratics have been found as far away as Pembrokeshire and Donegal.
