Peter Henderson, one of the engineers, said this sounded like it had been recorded "direct to cassette”, but I just don't think so - at least this Analogue Productions pressing sounds pretty great.
Then again, despite the great playing, some of the tracks are a little on the generic jazz-funk side. Easy to listen to, but a little uninspiring.
