Gov of Arizona just vetoed the bill mandating insurance companies cover detransition costs because it's "unnecessary and create a privacy risk for patients."
The privacy risk I guess would be telling the doctor and insurance company that they transitioned. That might be a another example of queering HIPAA: "The act wasn't meant to do this, but we'll twist to serve our purposes."
It's a short veto letter. Leaves out the whole "someone is gonna notice insurance is paying an lot of money to help young people who were lead down the garden path".
