This is a plea to all people of my generation.
As a 21 year old, it is very disheartening to see so many of my peers turn to alt/meme coins instead of Bitcoin.
What's worse is it is not through lack of understanding. Most people our age are open minded enough to understand bitcoin is hard money, and many get the differences between proof-of-work and proof-of-stake.
And STILL they will invest in alternative crypto bullshit coins, knowing the risk they are taking.
This largely comes from the feeling we are being left behind. When you know full well all the prominent speakers in the space have more BTC than you will ever be able to, it's easy to let greed and jealousy cloud your judgement.
STAY PATIENT. YOU ARE NOT TOO LATE.
let's say that as game theory plays out between nations that bitcoin gains 50% a year.
I'm guessing most 17-21 year olds have between £1000 - £10,000 in the bank. (if you don't it's time to get working. I have also been in the depths of an overdraft.)
But if you can spare:
£1000 now = £57,655 in 2034 = £3.3million in 2044
£5000 now = £288,325 in 2034 = £16.6million in 2044
DO YOU SEE THE IMPORTANCE IN STARTING NOW!
That's not to say bitcoin will continue at this rate indefinitely, but ask yourself how much your "PeanutTheSquirrel" coin will be worth in that time?
Don't be mad that the old guys got there first. Some were clever, some were lucky, the overwhelming majority aren't even in at all.
Stop trying to catch the early birds by taking unnecessary risk. Compounded interest takes time and we have more or that then they do.
Now is not the time to listen to what some 🔔 🔚 with a podcast and a rental lambo has to say about you being a millionaire tomorrow.
NOW IS THE TIME TO WORK YOUR ASS OFF and get a little piece of the action. Because soon that piece won't look so little.
As ever
