Friend locally in Norwich, a music teacher at a local state school for 18 years, has been informed by an incoming Headmaster, that she is to be made redundant. The grounds given is the school can no longer afford a music teacher and has "got to make savings".

Calls to mind that quote "...that under a Labour government, a LABOUR government"....schools should be laying off experienced teachers on the grounds musical education is no longer an affordable part of the curriculum.
