The battery life on the eink device is so impressive. I got it in the mail a week ago, and I have not made any effort to charge it, although it charges a little when I transfer files. It arrived with 70% battery and I've been using it non-stop and it's at about 40%... but more to the point riding the bus and traveling around town playing books hardly makes a dent in the battery life at all.
The epaper screens really do save a lot of power.
