"Not all plungers do the same thing!!!! For renters I highly recommend Flange plungers for toilets (They will work on most drains). And the mini accordin plunger for tubs and sinks (easy to store and has good amount of power).
Remember you are worth the time it takes to learn something new!"

Also a comment from a plumber friend: "Plungers can also blow out the wax seal underneath.
I never use them.
A closet auger is still best."
