The primary point of centralization in traditional social media is that you can’t take your account and following from, say, Facebook to Twitter to TikTok. This creates lock-in.
Using a unique pub key makes nostr less susceptible to that. The (new) challenge we have in nostr is the same thing we face in bitcoin: private key management.
