If you actually received the money they took, plus the interest they earned you'd be right. But the give you back less than you paid in, take money from you that you could invest and profit from all while acting like they are doing you a favor. They take money from me and I don't get it all back. That's a tax. Then when they do send some back to me I have to pay... taxes...
