so, i'm sad about what's happening in america. and given america's prominence in world politics, it's scary to think how the continued slide into fascism in america will affect the rest of the world.

but i'm also really tired of hearing americans say "this is the end of democracy on earth" or "this is the end of humanity" or whatever. fuck off. america isn't the whole world or "the best country" or whatever. that kind of thinking is exactly what led to trumpism.
