There are boomers and yuppie elite who don’t like Bitcoin because it’s not an “in group tax asset.” They get a sexual thrill out of having enough wealth to hire an accountant to tax-optimize their savings. It signals that they’re part of the “in group.”
Meanwhile, both their index fund and bond components aren’t outperforming debasement, a tax. Ask them what “counterparty risk” means. They think they own all their financial assets outright.
