I'm not arguing against eye strain in general, just the very specific claims that temporal dithering is the/a cause. Obviously I'm sympathetic to people who feel ill using certain display technologies... but if we want to get anywhere in solving problems we need to actually rigorously test for the root cause, not just have whole groups of people self-reinforcing preconceptions while nobody acknowledges confirmation bias nor does anything to eliminate it!
