In this case, it’s a good thing you did. This is a scam for sure. Canaan is the company, and Avalon is their miner that they make. Think of Bitmain manufacturing Antminers, MicroBT manufacturing Whatsminers, etc.
The Avalon Nano 3 IS a real miner, but it’s Canaan’s version of a lottery miner, absolutely will not give you 70 TH/s lol. I think it’s actually around 4? Maybe?
And always always always look at the URL. Canaan’s official website is canaan.io. There are many many fake sites for mining, impersonating Canaan, MicroBT, Bitmain, etc. So always approach that with healthy skepticism.
