Many of you are probably looking for some kind of self defense training right now. That's great, but as a long-time instructor/student, I want you to know something from the jump:
Hand-to-hand combat is a failure condition of self defense. If you get there, several other stages have likely been ignored. Consider how any potential trainer/school discusses things like situational awareness, body language, and deescalation. You need these skills more than the perfect kick.
