This is true for a lot of ppl I know also.
Could we abstract away all the technical jargon of self custody with a phrase like Be Your Own Bank?
Or maybe the ethos of Bitcoin is that putting in the work to understand these concepts (even the technical parts) for yourself is essential?

Most people I talk to don't even know what self custody means. It's such a foreign concept. It doesn't even register in their brains because every where they keep their money requires trust from a third party to not steal it from them or rehypothecate it.
