Even if you were fully self-sufficient, you’d likely face looters and organized groups attempting to take over your food supply. Not sure any one person would be able to stop that.

My local grocery store is closing for remodeling so they have several days of sales to clear inventory. People come in buying up everything just because it’s on sale. It looks a bit dystopian with mostly empty shelves. People are running around grabbing everything.

I thought, if this were a real food shortage, people would be fighting for last scraps. People would be fighting for scraps after 3 days and after week I’d see total war break out.

Things are more fragile than they seem.
