All I’m saying is there are many that don’t agree (think LGBT communities), and going by the reactions I saw here and on the PR there would have been riots if it was opt out. So I understand them choosing opt in.

I don’t know jack about the technical aspects of interoperability with other software, I’m just explaining why the opt in choice was made.
