1. a normal keyboard with normal keys but each key has 4 directions and there are a few modifier keys to switch layers, i am not sure if it is a full keyboard or not in that regard but you can type individual characters
2. some sort of chording stenography setup for writing entire words with keystrokes like on a stenography keyboard. this is probably what is shown in the video. i am not sure how this chording is triggered, however
