NOSTR (Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays) is a protocol not a platform or single app. It operates by individuals running a Relay, which anyone can do. Then you or anyone else , can use any app or website client to connect to that Relay and transmit notes and other stuff. No one entity or person controls the network. This gives it resistance to censorship as you can leave or join any relay.
In short freedom we have never had before. Along with the global reach of Bitcoin we now have networks that we have full control of our speech and money
