Today I got news that a long-time acquaintance took her own life. She’s survived by her devoted husband.
Depression is cruel. I say this from my own experience. I’m lucky to be surrounded by people I can talk to when it gets bad, but even with that safety net things can get terrifyingly desperate when I’m down in it.
