Nobody would buy a bacterial-stat when a bacterial-cide was available.\n\nSame with other drugs. All things equal, a cure for cancer or Alzheimer's or whatever would always outcompete a long-term treatment for same disease.\n\nIn this case the competitiveness works for you to incentivise better treatments.",
