The only reason I’m so comfortable with Linux on the Desktop is that I’ve been using it for almost 32 years. You build up a lot of stupid institutional knowledge over 32 years, even if you’re not trying, and some of that stuff is vital to dealing with “WTF just happened?” on Linux.
