Recommend is a tricky word. Recommend would mean the benefits have been shown to outweigh the risks at the cost one decides is acceptable.
It also matters what you choose to do when finding probably benign things.
But if you could get scans for free and restrain yourself from dangerous but definitive diagnostic maneuvers (like biopsies and surgeries) until probability is high enough the risk is worth it, then it’s probably a good idea. Getting lucky in medicine is a thing…that’s why I plan my my second colonoscopy to be a CT colonography…cause I can see stuff outside the GI tract :)
