The reason for those who oppose censorship on nostr is to ensure the purity of anti-censorship. Since we are anti-censorship, how can we do it ourselves? Isn't this slapping yourself in the face?
In fact, there is a problem of definition involved here. Is Nostr against censorship, or is it against platform dictatorship, non-optional, black-box censorship? I think it's the latter.
Starting from the definition, if we really want to object to the censorship itself, is the block function provided by the client censorship? Do you want to turn this off? Since this is reasonable, is the shared blacklist I formed by integrating the user's blacklist together reasonable? So can I pass the follow-up chain review completely defined by user behavior?
Another problem is that resources are limited, and relays do not grow out of the ground, but are exchanged by operators for real money. Are anti-censors being generous in trying to force open these resources to spam?
Is it another kind of tyranny to try to force new content publishers to compare their hand speed with robots and engage in pow to gain a sense of global presence?
