I’m reading a newly-published book by a science writer. It’s interesting but I keep getting distracted by the measurements. Writer is from the USA and uses mostly imperial measurements, but occasionally throws in a metric one. There are no conversions. So irritating in a popular science book! If you can’t use accepted scientific measurements, at least be consistent or include conversions for everyone outside the US. Okay, rant over 😆
