When I was very young I passed a summer doing research in a large very poor country, and I learned that disparity of wealth in its most extreme degree means that the you may have solid gold faucets in your marble bathroom, but when you step out of your curtained limousine in your manicure and bejeweled sandals, it's still gonna be over a starving leper. It's been 35 years, I've never forgotten it, and it's never been more useful a lesson for my own culture than today. End the billionaire class.
