I used to have a lot of dream sequences in the first draft of Chief of Bards. Tali is tortured by nightmares several times early in the book.
After an edit or two, I took all of them out. They weren't furthering the story and seemed banally obvious to me. He describes a few of them with several characters briefly. Less words and we still get the picture.
