hallucinated a dog this morning.
like a whole big-ass dog, walking cautiously behind my back as I lied on the sofa, whining softly for attention. I could hear the pat-pat of his steps and the arf-arf of his breath, I could feel the air puffs of his breath on my neck, warm and gusty.
half of my mind was wondering who opened the door to let this dog in and if they were doing a surprise and what strategy should I take to avoid startling the dog or making him aggressive. the other half was kinda distantly aware that this wasn't material reality, and wary that if I turned around and involved the sense of sight, I would fully wake up / dissipate the vision, which I didn't want to do.
(interestingly, I did not feel paralysis during this.)
between these conflicting impulses, I am ashamed to admit, dear Reader, that I did not pet the ghost dog
if ghost dog shows up again and trance-state me has enough presence of mind, I want to pet him!!!
