❗️Canadian ice hockey player Brendan Leipsic just received Russian citizenship via a special Presidential decree signed by Vladimir Putin.

RF Assembly member Fetisov said he sees the sports stars pursuit of Russian citizenship as a positive trend saying:

"This is a very good trend for Russia. For the political situation, it is beneficial for us when foreigners from the US and Canada receive a Russian passport of their own free will."
