So today I learned that in NC if someone doesnt pay their tax bill and is delinquent, I can go to the county office, pay it for them and now I own their land because I paid their tax bill. So...those people in the mountains that lost everything and are being denied anything from FEMA or the SBA? Their land will get bought up by some rando person or company. Eminent domain? Maybe not outright but the govt is definitely making it difficult for them.
