I'm a sucker for unusual prose. Can't tell you exactly what it is, but if your writing has an unusual rhythm... I also love me a slow romance. Like if they get together on the last page, maybe that's too fast lmao. Subtext only is my jam. Liminal, you might even say.

I can't stand interpersonal conflict for conflict's sake. Conflict because of incompatibility, sure, as long as everyone's reasons seem well motivated and those reasons come to a head. But someone being an asshole just to be an asshole, I don't suffer assholes in real life--I'm not going to in fiction either.

(also needless to say, bigotry or right wing ideologies is a great way for me to shut the book, unless I'm specifically reading it as an academic exercise)
