As for your actual question, I guess it depends on what you want from the relationship, and on the personality of the man in question.
If it were someone like me, who's not interested in casual things, the best approach would be to invite me to some nice social activity or to hang out together.
Although if the person is exactly like me, they will refuse anyway, because they don't socialize with people at all -- but that's more of a unique issue I have. In that case your only option is to establish contact via digital means, after just asking "hey can I have your number, you seem chill :)"
If you're looking for something more casual and the man is too, then something like "man I kinda have the hots for you ;)" would probably work, lol.
