I hate that I need a car, and I am openly hostile to being made to need one by forces beyond my control.
I'd much rather take public transportation. Which exists in my area, just not at a schedule or route that works.
Ridesharing becomes the next best, awful option. I'll spend over the next two weeks enough on Uber to make a monthly car payment and cover the insurance.
So my choice is to incur debt to obtain a depreciating asset I really don't want, or lose even more money commuting.
