Trouble is that me and music, I listen to a lot of it, narrowing things down to one favorite doesn't really happen.
These are some that come to mind, though:
I like practically anything Joni Mitchell, & she wrote most of it. "Woodstock" & "River" are standouts.
"White Rabbit" was both written and sung by Grace Slick.
Sinéad O'Connor's "4th and Vine" is such a catchy song that I listen to it often, and I'm also fond of "Daddy I'm Fine". (Cowriters on both)
Pat Bentar's "Hell Is for Children". Written by her with some members of her band as cowriters.
Cyndi Lauper's "Sally's Pigeons" was written by her and Mary Carpenter! Amazing song.
Suzanne Vega's "Luka" has been going up my list, too...
